How to export an Instagram follower list
Competitor research, influencer selection and campaign targeting all need a follower list. Instagram doesn't let you download one; with IGFlow you can collect public lists and get them as CSV or Excel.
What can you export?
- A public profile's followers or following
- People who liked a post
- People who commented on a post
- Owners of posts under a hashtag or location
One-off list: post engagement
- On the Automations screen, choose "export people who engaged with this post".
- Paste the post link and choose likers or commenters.
- Set the record limit and the format (CSV or XLSX).
- Optionally add profile details: follower count, bio, private/verified status.
- Run it, then download the file or open it in Drive.
Recurring list: scheduled collection
To keep a list fresh every week, use the "collect this audience every day" or "export my list to a file regularly" recipes. Choose the frequency (daily, weekly) and the time; the file is saved to your Google Drive folder.
Tips for large lists
Collecting a very large follower list in one go takes a long time and strains the account. It's healthier to cap each run at a few thousand records, collect in parts with a scheduled flow and give the job to read accounts.
A legal note
Even though the list is made of public information, it contains personal data. Under the GDPR and similar laws, processing it for a specific, explicit and legitimate purpose and limiting how long you keep it is your responsibility.
